Job Description:
The Byers Eye Institute (Department of Ophthalmology) at
Stanford University, School of Medicine is seeking a Program
Coordinator for the Office of the Chair to provide administrative
and operational support in a fast-paced and growing department.
Reporting to the Chair's Executive Assistant and Project Manager,
this role blends general administrative duties such as calendaring
and processing expense reports with research-related tasks,
including preparing progress reports, collecting and organizing
data, and coordinating administrative needs across multiple
sites.The ideal candidate will exhibit a high degree of autonomy
and demonstrate a self-motivated approach and strong team-oriented
mindset, the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently,
exceptional organizational skills, and superb communication skills
that facilitate interactions within our diverse academic and
research community.This role is hybrid based at the Byers Eye
Institute, with an expectation of 3 days on-site per week. More
on-site work may be required for annual events.DESIRED
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior work experience at Stanford University and/or in higher
education strongly preferred.
- Understanding of the organization of Stanford University
Medical Center or similar academic medical center preferred.
- Ability to independently compose/draft correspondence on behalf
of the department leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to work well with Stanford colleagues and
clients and with external organizations.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail and
accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize own work, multitask, and
respect deadlines.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication
skills.
- Experience with database applications and management.
- Experience in developing and overseeing educational
activities.
- Experience with website, social media, and online presence
maintenance.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):High school diploma
and four years of administrative experience, or combination of
education and relevant experience.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

- Advanced computer skills and demonstrated experience with
office software, calendar, email applications.
- Demonstrated success in following through and completing
projects.
- Excellent organizational skills and superb attention to
detail.

- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and assign work to
others.
- Ability to take initiative and ownership of projects.

- Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.

job.The expected pay range for this position is $39.46 to $44.30
