Opportunity:As a Field Engineering Specialist you will:
- Showcase your expertise in technical repair for Roche assigned
product lines.
- Offer valuable service to laboratory customers in your assigned
territory.
- Provide routine technical support, on-site service, and repair
of Roche products.
- Serve as a customer contact for technical and service-related
issues and perform preventative maintenance.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hardware, software, and system
failures.
- Document all activities, contribute to quality improvement, and
focus on maximizing customer satisfaction.This is a field-based
role - the territory is within the San Francisco peninsula, East
Bay & South Bay areas.Travel: Travel requirement in Indianapolis
for formal training and co-travel within Northern California/Reno
and Oregon areas for training purposes.Who You Are:
- High school diploma and 2 years of technical school or
equivalent military training or equivalent work experience.
- 2 years of experience repairing or servicing mechanical/system
hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking or
equivalent level of competency attained through appropriate
training curriculum or Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering,
Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, or
related field.Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to work after hours, provide weekend and holiday
support on a rotated basis within an assigned territory and/or
geographic region and be on call 24/7 during rotation.
- Good written/verbal communication, organization, and
prioritization skills.
- Highly effective customer service skills, which includes a
positive attitude, helpful customer interaction, and maintenance of
ongoing customer relationships.
- Knowledge of basic chemistry.Relocation benefits are available
for this job posting.The expected salary range for this position
based on the primary location of California is $82,000-153,000.
Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications,
geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by
law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on
individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies
