Supplier Industrialization Engineer, TLA AudioSupplier
Industrial Engineer for Low Voltage TLA modules, will manage
industrialization of Autopilot Infotainment parts, including Audio,
Telemetry and Sensors. Responsible to scale to manufacturing at
Suppliers working with Tesla Engineering teams for Automotive,
Energy, Robotics, and Data centers.What to ExpectAs a Supplier
Industrial Engineer for Low Voltage TLA modules, you will manage
the industrialization of Autopilot Infotainment parts, including
Audio, Telemetry, and Sensors. You will be responsible for scaling
to manufacturing at Suppliers while working with Tesla Engineering
teams for Automotive, Energy, Robotics, and Data centers.What
You'll Do
- Provide leadership for New Product Introduction (NPI) at
Suppliers, lead supplier improvements in scalability, cost, and
quality.
- Review 2D and 3D CAD Mechanical Drawings and conduct DFM with
suppliers.
- Execute qualification activities required for product release
PPAP.
- Accountable for supplier audits to ensure their ability to meet
part performance, delivery, and reliability expectations.
- Collaborate with Tesla Design, Quality, and Manufacturing to
determine the ideal performance specifications and supplier
metrics.
- Lead, track, and improve supplier manufacturing process
development and launch readiness for new products and design
changes.
- Validate supplier corrective actions involving design and/or
process changes to ensure they are robust, sustainable, and
implemented for similar potential concerns across manufacturing
lines and/or suppliers.
- Provide input on new or alternative materials for improved
design, manufacturability, or cost reduction.
- Soft Skills Required: Highly motivated, proactive engineer with
strong analytical, presentation, communication, problem-solving,
and interpersonal skills. Experience working with international
OEM/Supplier.
- Able to work independently and under high pressure, with an
average of 50-60% travel, possibly on short notice.What You'll
Bring
- Degree or equivalent experience in Electrical, Mechanical,
Industrial, or Material/Manufacturing Engineering.
- 4 to 8 years of experience in Automotive Top Level Assembly
Component Development preferred.
- Experience in Quality Systems, PPAP/APQP processes, new product
development, and customer launch DFMEA & PFMEA and DFM.
- In-depth knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
(GD&T) and inspection, experience in conducting MSA
(Measurement System Analysis).
- Knowledge of Plastic, Metal, Part Design, Tooling, and
Manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of Automation in Manufacturing assembly, EOL testing
of Electronic Modules.
- Proficient with SPC and data analysis, with experience using
Statistical Software packages like Minitab or JMP, MS Office,
especially Excel and PPT.
- Fundamental knowledge of SMT process.
- Hands-on experience in developing validation and testing of
audio components and assemblies.Compensation and BenefitsAlong with

$85,760 - $197,160 annual salary + cash and stock awards +
benefits.Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized
factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills,
and experience. The total compensation package for this position
may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
