Our thesis is simple: Large Language Models (LLMs) will transform software development, and the engineers who master these tools first will have outsized impact.Founded in 2023, we've already implemented AI solutions for companies (combined $50B+ market cap), including successful projects for Trilogy and Eventbrite.While we operate as a consultancy, our vision extends beyond traditional consulting - we're using client work to build deep expertise with cutting-edge AI models and techniques while assembling an exceptional team of engineers.About the RoleWe're currently hiring for our Alpha School project, a pioneering K-12 education initiative backed by Joe Liemandt and Trilogy. They aim to create a scalable national education model powered by AI software - which we've been hired to build.Role Details:

• Immediate contribution to our codebase in Typescript and React
• Build features that teach students how to read and write
• Write and optimize AI prompts using the OpenAI + Anthropic APIsCareer PathAfter your initial assignment on Alpha School, you can choose to:
• Continue growing with the Alpha School account
• Transfer to a project in a different industry
• Spin up and lead your own client projectRequirements:
  • Extreme proficiency in React & Typescript
  • 5+ years of experience professionally writing code at reputable tech companies
  • 2+ years working at early stage startups, preferably as a founder or part of early team (first 10 employees)
  • Engineering or STEM degree from a top 20 university
  • Primarily an IC, but has experience building engineering teams
  • Experience using OpenAI & Anthropic APIs
  • Knowledge of engineering management best practices (scoping sprints, managing client projects, hitting deadlines)
  • Strong interest in AI applications and stays up to date with latest models, research, and productsNice to haves:
    • Ship personal projects / hack on thingsCompensation: $210-280k base + up to 100% performance based bonus.
