Job Description:
This is a hybrid position that is based out of our San Francisco
office, with three days a week in the office.OVERVIEWWe are looking
for a Workplace Technology (IT) Support Specialist to join our
team, reporting to our Head of Workplace & Workplace Technology.
This role will be a crucial member of our team, providing
world-class support to our in-office, hybrid and remote workforce.
This role will have a huge impact at Modern Treasury from
supporting employees day-to-day to leading the charge to improve
and scale our systems, hardware, processes and programs. As Modern
Treasury grows, we will be onboarding new employees monthly, so we
are looking for someone that is excited about a fast paced, fast
growth company. Our ideal candidate will have 4+ years of
experience, particularly with Mac hardware, Okta, Google Workspace,
Slack, Kandji or other MDMs, and experience with compliance and
regulations.This role requires someone who is excited to tackle
challenges independently, can collaborate and partner with
cross-functional teams, and thrives on solving technical issues
just as much as operational issues. We have offices in SF and NYC,
and encourage our employees in other cities to meet in-person, so
this role will require travel to set up office locations and
maintain existing offices.
REQUIREMENTS
- 4+ years experience working in IT
- Bachelor's Degree in computer field or equivalent work
experience
- A positive, service-oriented attitude
- Detail oriented, methodical, and highly organized.
- Experience working with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO
27001, or similar) is a plus.
- Experience in at least two: managing and configuring Mobile
Device Management, Apple MacOS environments, Google Workspace,
Identity and Access Management systems (OKTA).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong
sense of teamwork.
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills,
demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in
a fast-paced environment, and a passion for continuous
improvement
- Knowledge of fundamental networking technologies and protocols

integrations.WEEK BY WEEKDuring your first week you will:
- Monitor, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve IT Helpdesk
tickets. Respond to requests and more complex tickets in a timely
and proactive manner.
- Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, effectively
communicating and completing with an outstanding level of customer
service.
- Communicate and document the resolution of issues to affected
users or cross-functional partners.
- Manage and maintain inventory of hardware including laptops,
tablets, printers, switches, firewalls, wifi equipment, and
software. Manage laptop refresh/updates, as needed.
- Provide AV support for conference and meeting spaces as well as
support in-office events.
- Assist in employee onboarding and offboarding including, new
hire set up and providing Security Awareness training, proper
deactivation of departing employees and license management.
- Conduct regular system audits and preventative maintenance on
systems and software.
- Assist with the Identity and Access Management functions,
including account and group lifecycle management, identity
governance, multi-factor authentication, and secure application
integration with vendors.During your first six weeks you will:
- Perform tasks related to maintaining our compliance frameworks
and regulatory requirements (SOC 2, SOC 1 & PCI).
- Collaborate with the team to manage vendors including vendor
selection, budgeting, ensuring secure integration, and an accurate
catalog in conjunction with the Security Compliance team.
- Perform root cause analysis of IT issues on multiple
technologies and platforms, including hardware, software, services,
networks, and audio conferencing equipment (mobile devices,
laptops, wired and wireless networks, A/V, Zoom systems, IT servers
and systems, and VPN).
- Manage the next-gen Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR)
anti-malware software in protecting the company's laptops from
malware.
- Execute on deliverables that require off-hours support, when
required.
- Participate as Incident Response Team member during Physical
Security, Workplace, IT, or cybersecurity incidents.During your
first six months you will:
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging tech to
ensure the company stays ahead of the curve.
- Coordinate and collaborate with Legal, Privacy, and Security
Compliance teams to evaluate new and existing services for security
and duplicate functionality
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within IT
operations and implement effective solutions.
- Develop and maintain documentation for IT processes and
procedures.
- Partner in the design, development, implementation and constant
improvement of IT systems, Information Security Policies, and
