candidate for the Production Manager position will provide work
direction to process engineers, chemists, and operators to complete
production as well as projects in support of process and product
development. This role will facilitate the development and launch
of brand-new chemistries to support MacDermid Alpha's high growth
markets in the circuitry and semiconductors business. The
Production Manager will also support scale-up of new products from
Lab Scale to High Volume Manufacturing (HVM).What will you be
doing?
- Oversee general production operations with a team of 2-6
Engineers, Chemists, Operators.
- Hold self to the highest safety standards and commit to
building a solid safety culture in all laboratory and related
activities.
- Conduct lab and pilot-scale experiments, define optimal
conditions and make recommendations for batch-to-batch
consistency.
- Collect and consolidate data during experiments and effectively
communicate results with key internal stakeholders and
customers.
- Conduct raw material and equipment evaluations and develop test
specifications.
- Validate new trial product test specifications & methods,
making recommendations for launching new products.
- Support the scaling of the production process from pilot to
high volume manufacturing with activities including the development
of robust manufacturing instructions, validation of full-scale
batches, and training for manufacturing operators.
- Assist in the creation of a control plan and FMEA for
intermediates and finished products.
- Support customer qualification of new products by providing
final chemical samples and data packages.
- Provide product samples to both R&D and customers (both
product and packaging).
- Operate equipment and follow procedures in accordance with ISO
9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards.
- Maintain real-time records of chemical and product inventory
through a chemical MRP system.
- Other duties as assigned.Who are You?
- Candidates must hold at least a bachelor's degree in chemical
engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline, with advanced
degrees such as an M.S. or Ph.D. being highly desirable.
- Experience managing a team of engineers, chemists and/or
technicians.
- 5-8 years in chemical synthesis, preferably in batch
operation.
- Experience in materials characterization and chemical analysis
techniques (e.g., SEM, EDS, XRD, TGA, GDMS, titration, IC) is
preferred.
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to convey
technical information effectively and concisely to engineering,
sales, technicians, etc.We understand that not all candidates may

- The typical base salary range for this position is anticipated
to be between $102,318.00 and $153,477.00.Equal Opportunity
