Job Description:
A company is looking for an Executive Editor, Features & Special
Projects.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a team of writers to create and edit a mix of shorter and
longer-form stories, including original research
Develop new data-based feature ideas leveraging testing and survey
results
Create and maintain the editorial calendar while driving daily and
long-term coverage plans
Required Qualifications
At least 7 years of editing and team leadership experience at a
major publication, preferably in technology
Experience in formulating editorial calendars and content
strategies using audience data
Strong editorial judgment with proven headline writing and story
packaging skills
Intimate understanding of SEO and familiarity with CMS, image
editing, and data visualization tools
A wide network of reliable freelance writers and/or data partners
is a plus
